Founder Showcase: Andrea | Part 1
Andrea on Building Beezie, Betting on Collectibles, and the Future of the Industry

Building Beezie has not been easy.
What started as a bold idea at the intersection of collectibles, gaming, and web3 has grown into one of the most unique platforms in the market.
I sat down with Beezie co-founder Andrea to talk about why she decided to focus on collectibles, the hardest parts of building the company, what changed after launching on Base, and where she believes collecting is headed next.
There was so much overlap between the behaviors we were seeing from web3 users and what we were seeing from real-life collectors.
There are also a lot of big problems to solve around resale, transparency, trust, and liquidity.
Blockchain gave us the ability to lean into all of that in a way that felt really natural.
Building Beezie has been the hardest and most rewarding thing I have ever done.
Some of the hardest moments came before TCGs and real-world assets became such a major theme in crypto.
We were told no over and over again.
Very few people understood the thesis or believed in what we were building.
There were a lot of sleepless nights to get Beezie to where it is today.
No.
I am always forward-looking and chasing the next goal.
That is the mindset we need to keep leveling up.
I do not think I will ever feel like we really “made it”.
The speed of growth after launching on Base.
We had been building this for years, dialing in the product and user behavior, and then suddenly everything clicked at once.
Base removed the friction and the growth accelerated.
It felt like we had been laying the foundation for a long time and finally hit the unlock.
Beezie is turning collecting into something active instead of static.
Instead of sourcing items one by one and holding them, we have built a system where users can discover, acquire, trade, and engage with collectibles continuously.
Gamified commerce is the unlock.
Products like the Claw create a new way to collect where participation, liquidity, and ownership all exist in the same experience.
You are not just buying items. You are interacting with them in a live market.
It does not replace collecting.
It amplifies it.
The future of collecting is instant, gamified, and easy.
We are a web3-native team that believes it takes a presence in both web2 and web3 to succeed.
Part of winning in web3 means reaching people wherever they are.
Whether we like it or not, people can still be tribalistic about their preferred chain.
If Beezie wants to reach the largest audience possible, we need to be where those users are.
Distribution.
Base gives Beezie access to a broader and more mainstream user base while keeping the experience simple and accessible.
It also validates where this is all going.
When you combine consumer-friendly rails with gamified commerce and real asset ownership, you unlock a much larger market.
Base made it easier for users to show up, and we saw that translate directly into growth, engagement, and platform velocity.
